Hindrances To Gods favour with Prophet Brian Mundopa

A hindrance to Gods favour is anything that provides resistance. A hindrance can be anything that causes delay or anything that causes limitation to your life.

Instead of progression, there will be a digression where everything will slow down and everything will stand still with no production.

Favour will stop when you deliberately ignore an instruction from God. When Saul ignored the instructions of Samuel to destroy King Agag, and all the Amalekites, favour stopped. Saul was removed from kingship and David became the King (Sam. 15:9-11, 26).

Obedience to God provokes favour (Deut. 28:1-2)

If a man’s ways please the LORD, He will make his enemies be at peace with him. God’s love guarantees unlimited favour.

The flow of favour is often paralyzed through the development of pride, arrogance and self-sufficiency. When you no longer recognize God as the source of your blessing, you automatically slam the door against yourself. When Nebuchadnezzar sneered at the authority of God because of his success, God permitted him to live a beast in the field until his humility returned (Daniel 5:20, 21).

The river of favour will dry up when God observed greed. “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation”. (Malachi 3:8, 9). It is a tragedy to try to breathe favour into someone whom God has chosen to discipline with a curse because of their greed.

Lack of forgiveness and bitterness stops the flow of favour. When you refuse to forgive the one who has offended you, God will not forgive you. And He cannot favour you when he has not forgiven you. “For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins” (Matthew 6:14,15). “...Forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you” (Ephesians 4:32). Forgive, as you are offended, and keep the door of blessing open.
Doubt and fear is a hindrance to favour. Peter was favoured to walk on water as he was the only disciple of Jesus to walk on water. It went well for a while until Peter started to sink because of fear and doubt. Where fear reigns, faith is driven away. But where faith reigns, fear has no place. Faith and fear don’t mix. As you bring in faith, fear will walk out the back door. But if you invite fear in your life, then you will drive faith away.

The anointing of favour will stop when an employee sees himself as better than his manager or superiors and becomes disloyal.

The anointing of favour will stop when a church member sees himself as better than his Pastor and find faults and correct his Pastor.

Noah through Hard working laboured for many years to build the ark and was loyal to God through his perseverance. Loyalty attracts favour and being disloyal stops favour.

Genesis 6:8-9 “Noah found favour in the eyes of the Lord . . . Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.”
