When They Leave Our Church!
People leave churches all the time.

They may do so gradually or suddenly, they may do so thoughtfully or on a whim, and they may do so with godliness or with great unholiness, but the reality is that people do leave.

Church leaving is a pervasive and regular occurrence, and it has no small impact on the Christian communities of which we are part of. Yet despite the weight of the issue, it is not something we reflect on thoughtfully too often.
When Someone Leaves Our Church:

1. They are still our brother or sister in Christ. They are not our enemy.

2. They have decided to move to the next church and this does not mean our church is bad neither are they.
When They Leave Our Church!

3. They still need our prayers and love. Many move and realise later they made a wrong move. From their leaving and even if they decide to come back or not they still deserve our love. If they don't we may not spend the time we used to with them coz we may have different philosophies but are still all Christians.

4. They should not be called names but rather cherished though with caution. Even when you feel hurt by their leaving do not call them sellouts. If they are ours they will come back.
This I promise. If they are not, praise God they have been led to their home. Even there they still remain son and daughter of Apostle, you cannot undo that nyangwe vanhu vakazviramba.

5. They need to be encouraged to leave the proper way and also be submissive where they have decided to go.
